Andrew Wetmore

Genealogy
A native of small-town central Illinois, Andrew Wetmore hitchhiked to Chicago after losing his factory job. Reaching the city, he lived homeless, writing songs in the street and at various shelters, eventually assembling the short-lived band, the Candy Hearts.
Two days after the dissolution of the Candy Hearts, Andrew recorded Dog Roses. Unflinchingly raw, it was recorded in one day. Dog Roses is filled songs about sadness and spite, and painfully honest. Over his cracked voice and picked guitar Wetmore tells about lost loves and old memories.
In 2007 Andrew joined forces with fellow singer/songwriter Don Melas to form The Nashville Wreckers.
